About Me
My Story
Hello I’m Rebecca and I am a Professional Skin Therapist with over 30 years experience, training, education and knowledge.
I qualified in 1990 at the London College of Fashion. It was a profession I wanted to fulfil from a small child, I STILL love my job and am extremely passionate about what I do.
I have run my own business since 1991. Since becoming a mum, I have been home-based which has the advantage of offering and tailoring a much more bespoke service. After years of working in the beauty industry and visiting spas all over the world I am now fortunate enough to work from our garden summerhouse in a beautiful woodland setting at the foot of the Surrey Hills where I bring to you all of my years of experiences and experience which provides the most tranquil and peaceful experience for you!
I continue to receive regular, ongoing training and as a Dermalogica Skin Therapist I am among the best trained in the industry and I have many postgraduate certificates from the International Dermal Institute. I have a very thorough and in-depth knowledge of your skin and how best to look after it after treating a variety of different skin types and conditions over the years which enables me to offer a range of bespoke skin treatments from prescription to advanced with your skin health at the core.
30+ years on, my beliefs, passion and expertise are not only in skin health but very much wellbeing too, so i also incorporate a Holistic approach into all of my services. I see skincare as self-care, and it should be part of our daily ritual, our skin should be looked after like any other organ of our body and believe providing touch, is a therapy.
I recognise that we are all unique and ever changing and therefore your treatment should reflect this but also in our time starved existence I believe its important to deliver an “experience”. When you visit The Skin Shed you are not only promised a beautiful and peaceful setting a wonderful experience, some listening ears but most importantly……Results!
All I ask is for you to lay back and put your skin in my hands.
I look forward to treating you and offering you some peace, tranquility and healthy skin…

Masced Accreditation
As a skin care professional i am in a unique position to be an advocate in the fight against skin cancer and potentially save lives. Seeing clients close up and personal on a regular basis gives me the opportunity to observe and detect changes that may occur on clients skin particularly in areas they may not be able to see themselves
Skin cancer is the UK’s most common and fastest rising cancer and ignorance regarding the early signs and symptoms is widespread and a massive 86% of melanoma cases are PREVENTABLE!
The Masced Accreditation and skin surveillance certification enables me to be be able to detect early signs of skin cancer and advise when to take action which could prevent disfigurement through surgery and in the case of melanoma, improve a prognosis or even save lives.
